Woodglen Vista Dog Park Results
Santee Youth for Solutions went to the Woodglen Vista Dog Park Grand Opening on September 17th, 2011 at 11AM-1:00PM. There they passed out flyers of introduction and helped hand out buns for the hot dogs and hamburgers. The City of Santee's Mayor, Randy Voepel, showed up for the opening ceremony where a ball was thown. After Mayor Voepel barked at the crowd of dogs for his upcoming reelection, everybody ate. To close the grand opening, the city of Santee cut a cake with small dogs on the top. It was a great day for dogs and the citizens of Santee.

Friday Night Live Advisor & Youth Kick-Off
Friday Night Live held a Advisor & Youth Kick-Off explaining Chapter Explination basics, recruiting leadership teams, and developing campaigns.
It was held on September 22nd, 2011 at the San Diego County Office of Education in Room 306.
There, Santee Youth for Solution youth leaders were introduced to other youth leaders and learned the importance of the position they are in.
Kids Care Fest
Santee Youth for Solutions, CASA, STANND, and Santee Solutions Coalition will be attending this years Kids Care Fest (KCF). There they will be collecting surveys on appartment house smoking. If you are intrested in becoming a part of the coalition, or just want to get involved meet at 9001 Wakarusa Street, La Mesa, 91942 at 7:30AM on September 24th.

Santee solutions Coalition Created a new branch called Santee Yuoth for Solutions
Santana High School opened a club to High School students and West Hills is soon to follow suit.
If you are a current High School student in Santee, make sure to ask your school supervisor for more information.

Woodglen Vista Dog parks Official Grand Opening
Santees very own Woodglen Vista Park opened a Dog Park and the Grand Opening is going to be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2011.
Santee Youth for Solutions will be handing out flyers so make sure you show up and get involved!
The first meeting that was held for Santee Youth for Solutions.
At the meeting that was held at Santee City Hall, Teens got a chance to recongnize the issues of alcohol and drugs in their community.
They also did leadership games and workshops, such as, Over the line.
Luch was croissant sandwhiches and cookies!
Everyone left with a prize from games and a new outlook on their city.

Vice Mayor John W. Minto was kind enough to give Santee Youth Solution Leaders a tour around the City Halls on August 17th. There he explained the importants of young leaders and the diffrence they can make to a city like Santee. It was nice finding out that the offices aren't all serious, examplified by the head of a dinosour mounted on Mintos office wall.
